Easy Stir Fried Clams With Basil Leaves

Clams is a very special delicious seafood that I will not miss it to buy when I see it at the market. Clams are full of nutritious with good source of protein, minerals, vitamins and Omega-3 fatty acids. Anyhow, clams need a very special cleaning preparation before it can be cook. I have tried few cleaning methods suggest by all aunts and finally find out the best easy method. Get the easy way to prepare and cook the clams with basil leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of Clam
  • 100 grams of Ginger
  • 100 grams of Basil Leaves
  • 4 glove Garlic
  • 2 pieces of Shallot
  • 1 pieces of Red Chili ***Optional- if you don’t like spicy
  • 1 tea spoons of Salt
  • pinch of Pepper
  • 2 table spoons of Oil

 

Directions

Step 1: Rinse the clams few times then soak a pot of water with some salt. You will see the clam open up their shell. Then change few times the water with salt until you see all the clams free of sands and mud.

Step 2: Clean the ginger and cut into small slices.

Step 3: Peel off the garlic, shallot and chili then chopping it.

Step 4: Clean the basil leaves.

Step 5: Boiling a pot of water then add in the clean up clams for 2-3 seconds to cook until all the clams was open up their shell. Then take it up to set a side.

Step 6: Heat up the oil then put in garlic, shallot and ginger to stir fry for 30 seconds

Step 7: Add in all the clams, basil leaves, salt and pepper, then stir fried for 1 minutes until all the clams is well cook before it ready to serve.

Note: Clean up preparation is essential for clean up the sands and mug.
