Fish Head Teo Chew Bean Curd Claypot

Are you lazy to cook and clean up after cook? Cook all in one in claypot will be a solution for you. I love to cook in claypot because it can be serve immediately after cook without transferring to serve in plate if you using wok or pan to cook. Beside that, I like to put in all types of fish, meat and vegetables into one pot to cook. It is not only healthy meal but it save me time and effort for preparation. Here I recommend you this “all in one pot” Fish Head Teo Chew Bean Curd Claypot.

Servings

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of Fish Head (recommend grouper fish)
  • 1 pcs of  Teo Chew Bean Curd
  • 3 stalks of Spring Onion
  • 1 stalk of Chinese Celery
  • 2 stalk of Celery (optional)
  • 7-8 slice of Ginger
  • 2-3 pcs of Garlic
  • 2-3 pcs of Chilly (small green type + red type)
  • 1 tea spoon of Sugar
  • 1 tea spoon of Salt
  • 1 tea spoon of Pepper
  • 2 tea spoon of Tapioca Starch
  • 1 table spoon of Light Soya Sauce
  • 1 table spoon of Huatiao Wine
  • 300ml of Oil
  • a small cup of Water

Directions

Step 1: Cut the bean curd and keep it dry with kitchen towel.

Step 2: Clean the fish head and keep it dry with kitchen towel. Mix well with 1 tea spoon of salt, 1 tea spoon of pepper and 2 tea spoon of Tapioca Starch.

Step 3: Wash the spring onion, Chinese celery, celery, ginger, chilly then cut into 3 inches size. Then slice the garlic.

Step 4: Heat the claypot with oil (about half full of your claypot) then put in the bean curd for fried 1 minute. Then follow by fish head for fried about 1 minute. Keep a side the bean curd and fish head after fried it.

Step 5: Remove the oil from claypot and just left about one table spoons of oil, put in the ginger and garlic for sauteing then follow by celery and spring onion, sauteing for 10 seconds.

Step 6: Then pour in all the ready fried fish head and bean curd, add in the light soya sauce, sugar and a cup of water to cook for 3 minutes with cover the claypot.

Step 7: Finally add in Huatiao wine and Chinese celery before it ready to serve.

Tips: You can add in tomato, onion or cabbage  into claypot to cook.
